I would replace the SS rivets with AL otherwise you will have serious
corrosion issues in the future.

I re pop riveted my gooseneck on while underway this summer with 3/16 ss
pop rivets it was missing 4 out of five due to one of those gybes with
my preventer on..  George is right but you need a little slack in the
preventer in order to shear all of them at once..... chris
