Spam?  No, this mailing list is entirely voluntary.  People 
subscribe and unsubscribe of their own volition.  It's all
designed to be self-service.  Most everything can be done
via email or a web interface.  The unsubscribe instructions
are at the bottom of every email sent out by the list.  The
use of a password is just to make it difficult for people
to use it maliciously.

As I said, your password is automatically emailed at the start
of each month, so you should have received that email today.
However, if you've lost it, the instructions for getting your
password emailed to you are on http://www.alberg30.org/lists/
or you can get directly to your configuration page at
https://www.alberg30.org/mailman/options/public-list/slater2@mindspring.com
There's a button there labeled "Email My Password To Me."
There's also a form on that page to unsubscribe, but it 
requires the same password.

Please show some mercy, yourself.  It's so easy to manage
your own subscription, yet so time-consuming for me to make
changes manually.  I do so when someone is really stuck, but
I can't afford to make it easier to ask me to make changes
than it is to ask the automated software to make changes.
If it comes to that, I'd just have to shut the list down.
