    - are we re-inventing a wheel that has already spun around a couple of
times?
Uh-huh.

See mast beam repair in the collaborate pages of alberg30.org   I.myself,
don't see anything ugly in those pictures. The repair on my own boat looks
factory original-especially looking forward from the head-and I am no
perfectionist, as far as repair skills go.
