[Alberg30] tunning, shroud tension

I agree with George.
Our shroud tensions should have more to do with the secuity of attachment
and performance than the capabilties of the wire. We supplied a new rig to
an Alberg last year and made whole deal 1/4" to standardise the fittings...
his lower shrouds did not get tighter because of the increase in diameter.
Their tension is governed by the need to keep the mast in column and control
bending - none of that changed.
ps I've never heard of a rigging failure that involved wire breaking
(although I've been aboard boats with rigs that looked horrifying) The
trouble is usually A) Spreader failure B)Mast tang or chain plate failure
