Dear list,
Here is the citation for an article on inner forestays.
"Stowing inner forestays", Practical Sailor March 1998,
v. 24 nos. 5-6, pages 5-7.
A related one by Ted Brewer discusses deck-stepped
masts and shroud angles:  "Don't be dismasted, rigging
your mast for blue water," by Ted Brewer. Canadian
Yachting, Winter 2002, pages 68-70.  It seems as though
any discussion of significantly modifying the rigging
design would raise as many issues as it might solve.
