I have been using a 44 pound Delta on my Whitby 42 for six years now.
EXCEPT in the Chesapeake Bay, it is GREAT. The exception for the bay is, I
believe, that the Bay has a thick layer of soft muck on top of the hard
stuff and the Delta seems to "float" in the muck and often does not hold as
well as the CQR or Danforth. Because of the welded toe, there seems to be
more 'volume per weight' with the Delta. On the Intracoastal waterway, and
in the Bahamas (sand), the Delta is a superb anchor.
