I agree.  I should fix it pronto, I've already had it apart this spring 
tried to fix it found the gasket was junk. My problem is the flange is 
not flat anymore making a good seal impossible. I keep a close watch on 
it.  The CO detector is a good investment in any case.  My elbow and 
riser are in good shape along with the water lift muffler and hose.
