This whole discussion thread is just too funny...it reminds me of what a
drill sergeant once told me when the platoon was complaining...."Opinions
are like axxxxxxs, everybody's got one."

That reminds me of a story that Cabot & Loretta told me. Shortly
after they got their Pearson 35 they had guests in their cockpit.
To make more room, they removed the wheel from the pedestal and
stored it in a locker. Food was spread out on top of the locker.
Suddenly the raft started dragging, people scattered to their
boats. The engine was started and the rafting lines cast off.
That's when Cabot turned to steer the boat and discovered that
the wheel was missing, hidden in a locker covered with stuff.
An interesting situation, don't you think?

Cruising the Chesapeake: A Gunkholer's Guide
My favorite Chesapeake Bay guidebook. While it mentions marinas,
it concentrates on anchorages--the kind of places I prefer to spend
my time. And in addition to listing shore facilities, it rates each
location for Beauty/Interest and Protection. This is the guide you
need to really cruise the Chesapeake Bay--a smorgasbord of small
creeks and coves.
