Also check your Start pushbutton. I had a problem with Xanadu II not
starting. I replaced the battery cables, had the starter rebuilt, and still
she would not turn over.

Turned out to be the start pushbutton. The contacts were burnt. As soon as
I replaced the pushbutton, everything worked, and is working fine.

Hi Al & Kathy - take apart your battery connections and reclean them. While
the connections may be tight, a film can form which will keep adequate
current from flowing to the battery. You might want to do the same at the
starter if you ever find it. ;-)

Hello,

We are Al & Kathy Hammond, proud new owners of Hull #619 built May 1977. She
is formerly Lyria from Boston MA, renamed Pickle, new home port is Shelter
Island NY.

They say re-naming a boat is bad luck. Well ----- we have a problem, the
engine (Bukh 10) won't start. Signs are pointing to the starter motor.
Engine will turn by hand, batteries are fully charged, connections are ok.
When turning ignition, all I get is a click.

I don't have a manual on the engine and I can't see behind it so I would be
grateful for advice on where the starter motor is located and how I can get
to it if I have to change it. Oh yes, can anyone tell me where I can locate
replacement parts for the Bukh 10.

Thank you very much.

Al Hammond
