I do not get any noise or oscillation. With the Yanmar, they recommend that
the transmission is placed in reverse under sail, otherwise you will damage
the transmission.

Ehen I switched Isa Lei #240 to the Yanmar, I used a 13x13 3 blade.  It has
done a wonderful job for the past 5 years.  Plenty of speed under power,
plenty of power to pull some one off a sand bar.

I have done research on the Yanmar 2GM20F (13HP) and found the optimal prop
is a sail pitch 13X13. This prop handles river currents and a good sea with
winds.
