I meant the wood inlays in the cockpit seats and the inlay in the aft hatch. They are veneered and screwed into the seat. The screws are covered with bungs. This is a post 1970 boat  - not one of the ones that have wood seats.

Not sure what you mean by inserts do you mean the seats or locker lids 
and the lazerette hatch? Sure I'd be happy to work on wood projects this 
winter right now I'm just trying to get the associations grabrails 
delivered by the spring rondy yard sale....
