If its real plantation teak it is usually short, narrow less dense and 
of poor color. narrow can be a problem because teak is difficult to glue 
up properly due to the oils in the wood.  Might be ok for cockpit 
gratings etc. but for anything where alot of labor is involved stick 
with the real thing.
