[Alberg30] fuel starved ?

I had a similar problem. 
Mine surfaced after going under a bridge, about 50 yards later, the bridge 
was closing, and my engine quit, I never droppe an anchor so fast. My repairs 
consisted of:
Replaceing the fuel pump because the filter was an integral part of the old 
pump and is was missing the element. The previous owner had removed it and 
installed an inline filter. Upon removing the pump I found a large amont of 
corrosin covering a hole approximately 3/8" in dia. Partial success.
I took the carburetor apart and found a small amount of residue in one of the 
ports, removed same and the engine runs like a charm. Starts much better and 
idles like it was made to. The key is to open and clean all ports, neglect 
none. I did the excercise 3 times thinking " Oh nothing could be in there ".
