This is true on Calypso, hull #543, but Mike tells me that it's not on
Gilleleje, hull #505. In any event, the adhesive power of resin used in
this fashion is not great. 5200 is a better adhesive and has a little
flexibility to handle the working of the joint and any bumps.
One other thing, when I through-bolted the transom while replacing the
taffrail, I used some thread-locking compound on the bolts. It's
probably not something you want vibrating loose.
