[Alberg30] Tiller or Wheel

One of the current listings shows an A30 with a pedestal and wheel. Was this
an original equipment option, or at least sonething that got done with any
regularity at the time of original construction? Would this be generally
perceived to be a wierd cutomization? Do the class rules allow stuff like
this? Is this arrangement advantageous, like for single hand cruising,
autohelm, etc? I must say that it looks OK and has some appeal. On the
flip side, I always liked to use use a tiller extension with a light feel
for the helm. I guess there's no way to sit up on the rail with an
extension with the A30 though?
