Matthew ... I am in the process of installing a new Kubota diesel in
hull number 412 and I found that my existing prop flange fit fine. My
prop shaft was too short but a friend had an extra 7/8 inch shaft which
was a bit too long and I was able to have about two inches removed. I
then installed a flexible coupling (R&D page 253 West Marine catalog
item number 3684917) and I am very pleased with the way things went together.
