Chris,

Considering the size of most peoples' screens, I'd say 640x480 is a good 
size for posting on the net.  Routinely I post photos under 
http://www.alberg30.org/pictures/contributed/ just as files, but if you 
want to write up some text to go with them, I could create a page for 
them.

Alternatively, you can add a page to the Collaborate section with your 
text and add a link to the photo just by copying the URL as text.  This 
section of the site can be edited by anyone and was intended to allow 
people to post information of enduring interest--as opposed to the 
transitory nature of email.  It's been underutilized except for the page 
of boats for sale.  The formatting is really simple.  Mostly you just 
type text, but you can see

additional techniques.
