I'va made a lot of progress with storage under the sink. First of all,
remove and throw away the achohol stove. Then trim out the opening. Then
make a cutting board to fit inside the trim. Remove the useless shelf undet
the counter and replace it with a good size shelf with a tall fiddle on the
inboard side. Make some chocks on this shelf for your new portable butane
stove, pots, pand, coffee pots, etc. Under the sink place a shallow
rubbermaid tub to hold cleaning suppiles. You'd be surprised how much space
there is. Oh Yeah, it might help to re-route the sink drain and salt water
inlet hoses.

And since Mike raised the issue of the galley sink--does anyone have a
bang-up, smashing good plan for organizing the storage under the galley
sink?? There is a lot of storage space under there which cannot be seen,
felt, or reasonably used without a miner's headlamp, suction cups, and a
magnet for retrieval.
