[Alberg30] FW Water pump?

Randy,I also have the M3 20B.I have not had a problem with the freshwater
pump,but have had the same symptoms from the raw water pump which I
replaced.Before fitting the new pump I took it apart andfound there was a
cavity bhind the impeller.Raw water gets into this cavity and is prevented
from getting into the motor  by a seal.On advice from a diesel mechanic I
drilled and tapped a hole from the outside of the casing into the
cavity,screwed in a grease nipple (cant remember what they are called in the
U.S.) and pumped it full of silicone grease.This may be worth a try on the
FWP.
I found that the seal on the RWP is not replaceable as a separate item so
had to spend $200+ for a replacement.Irritating.
