[Alberg30] engine bed?

Dear group,

I would be interested in anyone's opinion on the preparation of my
engine bed. The engine I am installing is (as you might expect) not
going to bolt right in. In that I am not anywhere near another Alberg
(central Ky) it is not easy for me to check and see what others have
done. My intentions are to make a couple of mahogany (So.Am.) rails and
try to custom fit them in place. Attach them with epoxy and lag bolts
and then lag bolt the motor mounts to these rails. I also thought I
might epoxy 3/8ths machine bolts upside down in the rials before I
install them.

I would certainly welcome any thoughts or comments on these ideas ...
you won't hurt my feelings.
