Which way is latitudinal?  On Quest when the side bolts which where actually screws went bad I just drilled new holes next to the old ones and screwed in new ones.  I drilled and coutersunk the holes and put new "oval head" screws--seem to remember either a No12 or 1/4" about 3/4" long.

Question concerns Rudder Repair on a 1967 A30.  Need to replace one of
the short latitudinal machine bolts securing the rudder shoe to keel.
Maint Manual article lists part as a 3/4 Lg Machine Bolt.  Website
maintenance/Steering/CreviceCorrosion/ article depicts 1 inch bolts.  Is
there a better description that addresses thread size?  Old bolt is now
u-shaped and worn making comparison a guess...Should I anticipate that
old bolt has stripped female receptacle?   Thanks for you help.
