[Alberg30] engine bed?

George ... Thanks so much for your reply. I read the article with
interest but it appeared the engine mike was installing was closer fit
then what I am facing. I looks like I will need to come up about 2 1/4
inches for the front mounts and perhaps cut away a bit for the rear
mounts. The engine I removed was a "Westerbeke 30" but I believe the
original engine was probably the A-4. The engine bed did really look to
be altered but with no other boats to check it against I can't say for
sure. I do know that the steps had been moved forward about 3" but since
I had replaced the counter top above the engine I was ok with this.
After very, very much deliberation, analiyzation, hesitation and
procrastination I finally bought the Kubota D1005E (25hp) which is
marinized by Phasor. When I am finished installing it and testing it I
will let this list know what I think.
