I would like to know if any one of you out there has any information  about 
a company in the US that  makes and sells the Volkswagen Diesel Engine 
package for boats. I heard that this company  supplies the whole marine 
Package with  the proper Marine Cooling system and Transmission. No 
radiator involved.
  The VW engine is very reliable.Runs for years and years without any 
problems and has more HP than the existing engines now available. It is 
also small and fits into our kind of a boat  A-30.  I run a Volvo Penta 
MD7A and I am playing with the idea of a new VW installation.
A friend of mine bought a VW write off wreck from an insurance company 
(back end smashed right up to the dashboard) and installed the engine in 
his 32' aluminum Robersts that he built himself.....he also made the 
cooling conversion from car to marine. My friend passed away and the boat 
is somewhere in Argentina.
