[Alberg30] Deck repair

Peter,

I used my old 7-1/4" circular saw when I did the cockpit sole (my first
fiberglass job). It worked, but the glass destroyed the blade and the
bearings in the saw. Now, I just use the grinder (see
http://www.alberg30.org/maintenance/tools/grinder.html). It makes a lot
of dust, but you've got to grind a bevel for laying up the new glass,
anyway.

I don't think you need to support the foredeck, but you can't put your
weight on the single-layer glass. You'll probably want to stand on
something off the boat, if you can. Working at waist level is much easier.
