[Alberg30] VW Diesel Engine

George,

The VW deisel was a standard automotive engine that was marinized with a
kit. It came from the Brazil boat factory already a marine engine. He bought
the boat new in 1986 but had to sell in 1998 for health reasons. He thought
the engine was about 90 HP but didn't know the weight. He took it on
extended trips every year all over the Great Lakes and never had any
problems with it. Someone may be able to track down the weight of the engine
from a parts dealer and where to get the kit if they are interested. He
couldn't seem to remember the name of the boat manfacturer.
