nice piece. i made that trip a couple of years ago. at the time there was a
rusted out craft which we tried to hail with no response. she was dead in
the water, . there were some navy maneuvers going on at the time, so we
thought, perhaps she was some kind of target for the navy folks. your
article now makes me wonder.
