[Alberg30] Interior Wood

Yves,

I found a couple of mahogany boards worked for me in the companion way just
fine.
So I have teak strips around the hatchway with mahogany hatch boards.
I used Cetol on both and for the big difference in price of teak versus
mahogany, the looks of mahogany, was good enough for me.

good morning everyone,

While on the subject of Wood, I would like to build a few racks and small
cabinets for storage and was wondering if someone could used something else
then teak inside. The previous owner of Chewan had solid oak doors made for
the companionway and they warped when water took to them. I know teak is
nice looking and a must for exterior but I was thinking of using solid oak
or maple inside and stain it to try & match the teak. I can built a complete
set of solid oak kitchen cabinets for the same price it is going to cost me
for one small cabinet and rack of teak...ARGH.

Any feedback would be appreciated

Cheers,
Yves #626
