HI there - 

Well..... of the 100 days of principal photography only 10 were spent aboard
HMS Rose.  The rest was in the "Frankenship" in the tank and in sets.

The storm scenes are real actual Cape Horn weather shot from HMS Endeavour
during her trip around the Horn on her way to England from Australia.

Glad you liked the film... and the stern.... yes, all that glass and light
woodwork does little to slow down roundshot.  What is worse shot that does
strike has the whole length of the ship to rampage down.
