[Alberg30] heads and such

with all the recent discussions re: heads and tanks, a question. rascal has a holding tank in the port cockpit locker. a 2 inch or so hose goes to the tank, and a 1 inch or so hose comes back to a y valve to the intake  side of the head(i assume this was to allow pumping out fluid overboard) i have wondered if this was the original method from whitby.
