[Alberg30] New Main Sail

David,
I checked the Tides Marine website.  I saw their sail track system
but saw no mention of a system that fits over the existing external track.
Where (on the web) could I find more info on what you are buying?

My plan is to install a strong slide system made by tides marine. It is
much less expensive than the Harken system and works just as well. It
fits over the current external sail track and should be very stiff. I
expect to make certain  that the underslying track is not loose or
wobbly in any way before the new system is installed.

It's nice to know that a fully battened main will work.  Thee
questions
please.  What is a "2+2"?  Did you do anything to reinforce the track?

kind of cars do you use to hold the sail to the track (I have heard of

cars" but don't know if that is  specific manufacturer) ?
