>Lastly, what back stay adjustment hardware works on an A30.
Short answer: A screwdriver, a crescent wrench, and never-seize the
turnbuckle threads.
The mast and standing rigging of the Alberg is really over built compared
to the standards of the racing Gurus who write all the how to books; not
to mention hydraulics and modifications to the standing rigging are not
allowed by class rules. Practically speaking, tweaking the forestay
tension while sailing on the Alberg is just when transitioning from on
wind to off wind, and then only if so inclined.
Yes, the mechanical wheel is allowed-If you have the $300.00 mentioned in
a previous post, go for it.
The double headstay, self furling headsail is a cruising rig. Why do you
want a continously adjustable backstay?
