I own "SONSY" hull #200 built in 1966. This boat has an African hardwood named "afromosia". This is beautiful, tough stuff. It is said to be more durable than teak and I believe it. As a matter of fact , all of the wood is afromosia, exterior and interior. The toe rail is original by the way.

It is probably very expensive, like teak, but is available at most exotic wood suppliers. Check it out.
