IF I can get my engine going, I hope to make it up to Still Pond.
Is this event happening Labor Day? Is there a schedule?

Mike and fellow Albergers,

I purchased a manual windlass (Anchorman) last spring and haven't installed
it on the Alberg. Since it is mostly surface mount I have very little
drilling/cutting for this installation. Has anyone installed a windlass on
deck and are there any recommendations for placement?

Thanks,
Stephen

I LOVE my Fortress anchor. It holds much better that the orignal Danforft
that came with the boat and only weights 11 lbs. I have rode out some heavy
stuff with this anchor and can recommend it.

One way to keep the weight down (particularly if you are hanging the anchor
off the bow pulpit) is to use an aluminum anchor such as the Fortress (or
the Viking, if you are old enough to remember those).
