[Public-list] My rudder is broke

Funny: I just finished reading Don Casey's advice about this in his "Good
Old Boat" book.

Casey has a diagram for one piece of metal, shaped more or less like a comb,
which is welded all along the rudder post. He suggests that this full-length
weld will be much stronger than the usual point attachments to the rudder
post.

If I'm not mistaken, the remainder of the construction would be foam and
fibreglass.

You may want to see if you can find a copy of the book in your local library
and read it for any wisdom you can glean to suit your own application.
