[Public-list] Bulkheads gone bad

Patty,

I would check how much rot there is.  You may want to replace the whole 
bulkhead or scarf in a new piece, if there's a lot.

Whatever you do, you want that chainplate firmly anchored, and the wood 
is often the weakest link (if you've done the bolt upgrade).
