Note that standard shaft zincs wont fit in all applications.  There must be enough separation between the zinc and the cutless for water to exit the cutless.  Also you must allow for the slight movement of the prop if you have flex mounts on the engine.

On the A30 Isa Lei (now Wraith) standard teardrop shape hull zincs are in use.  These are mounted on the outside of the hull below the engine and wired to the DC ground with # 10 wire.  There is a jumper wire across drive flanges to connect the shaft and prop to the zinc.  If you use this system make sure your starter and alternator are grounded to the engine.  Some engines have them on a floating ground which means you would have to wire the zinc directly to the engine block, not the DC ground.
