Patty

Your boat #461 is a newer style with a cabin liner and no wooden beam.

Okay, loopy means goofy, out of touch with reality, stoned silly, etc.

Now, I'm wondering if I have an older boat because I do not have a beam
to replace and I have had to redrill a hole in the closet so the lock
will work due to mast compression. It looks like the po did some work
on the mast step, there's some messy work inside the boat right where
the mast sits and looks as if he added a larger piece of wood or
something under the mast to spread the weight out. Do I have an older
boat? It was built in 1974. I must admit that I do like the bit of
rake the compression gives to the mast as I can outpoint all the J boats
and Rhodes 19's on the bay but do worry about my mast ending up in the
cabin.
