Stop in Port Clinton, OH where we have two or three and a free berth if you
need it.  Mermaid went in the water yesterday and one of the A30's has been
converted to a yawl.

Last fall I purchased the Trillium III from Charlie H. in Toronto and I
had planned on sailing her to back to Detroit.  Unfortunately, we just
managed to get her from Canada to Ashtabula (just east of Cleveland)
before the autumn weather and lack of time forced me to put her up - far
from home - for the season.

I have spent the past four weekends in a row preparing the boat for the
remainder of the trip to Detroit.  She has been renamed as the "Jante
II."  (That name was the original name given to the boat when she was
purchased in 1966 and being a superstitious SOB I thought that the gods
would be most pleased by that.)  On Friday the 21st she will be put back
in the water.  On Saturday the 22d we will rig her and carry out a quick
shake down cruise and then we will leave Ashtabula on Sunday the 23d.
If any Albergers will be out on Lakes Erie or St. Clair during the 23d
through approximately the 28th please let me know.  I would really like
to meet another A30 on the water.
