John

My Triton was built in Bristol R.I. and had 3,500 pounds of lead bolted on
the forward end of the keel. Some Tritons were also built in Sausalito, CA.
Also, the San Francisco Bay Tritons had the fractional rig, most others were
masthead rigs.

The A30 and the Triton are very similar in their stiffness particularly with
the summer winds of 20 to 30 knots in San Francisco Bay. If you don't over
power by using a 150 or 160 jib, they stand up quite nicely. I typically use a
130 under most cruising conditions. In the Triton we raced with the 130 in all
but the lightest of airs and were respectable in our finishes.
