Use Gel Gloss which can be found in the cleaning section of most grocery
stores. It comes in a can that is the color of Pepto-Bismol. You can
get it in a small can or in an aerosol can. It will bring them back to
new.

Subject: [Public-list] Cleaning Cowls
Hello ye Albergers near and far.
I am interested to know how one can clean the 4 PVC Flexible Cowls (Air
vents) and Winch Handle Pockets that we have on our boats ??
Mine look terrible and they have some black dark mould spots, that I can
not remove with anything...some liquids even melt the surface a little
but
do not remove the dirt. Javex makes the look yellow.
I also, would like to know with what Red paint I can paint the insides
of
these air scuppers. I am considering Tremco Red Rust paint.
I painted years ago, the inside wood drawers and covers with Tremco Rust
paint (2 coats) White mixed with a dash of Yellow and it looks
terrific, clean and new after all these years. Looking forward to your
comments....
Happy sailing... Villo KC-618
