Michael,
Please do if it isn't too much trouble. I am the one who submitted the
34' 9-3/8" measurement and after reading your email I measured again
with a steel tape (mine is also on a rack beside my house) and the
measurement is as sent. I am sure my mast is the original for my 1970
alberg. As previously mentioned this is just the extrusion and does NOT
include the masthead. I also expect that ambient temperature could
effect this measurement a fraction of an inch or so with an aluminum
extrusion of this length.
