Bill -
I replaced an old galvanized steel tank in #297 this past winter.  I too sits in the Starboard
cockpit locker.  I replaced it with an off-the-shelf 12 gal rectangular aluminium tank from West
Marine (Model number 244667).  I put new wooden cleats on the platform and then cinched the tank
down with nylon strapping.  It fits easily and is a pretty fast project.
