[Public-list] Beautiful A30 in Yacht world

The Marathon A30 seems a little schizophrenic; day sailor on deck, live
aboard (or at least gourmet galley) below. I guess the really nice gambled
stove eliminates a berth (unless bulkhead was cut and forward end of bunk
extended into hanging locker, probably not enough room though). Has anyone
seen the use of a 2 burner gimbled stove (either inset in the counter or
hung from under the deck)? I have raised the galley and above-engine
counter on #148 by 4" to 36." This allows for 4-12" risers from cabin sole
to bridge deck (I need new knees and that last riser was about 2" above my
bend range) and I hope it will save the dishwasher form back aches and
promote good sink drainage. I removed the outboard galley storage shelves
(probably put something like them on aft end of counter) and now have some
extra "swing space."

Lastly, I noticed the v-berth seems to have been filled in (is it then
called a triangle berth or a wedge berth). Has anyone experience with this
set up. I have young teenagers and figure I could stuff 1 plus 3 friends up
there.

Roger
