[Public-list] Lexan or Acrylic ?

Has anyone considered using port lights that slide open? Ventilation is
always a bit of a problem and this would certainly help but I suppose it
might be a problem finding something that is close to the shape we would
need.

I will contact my Lexan guy and confirm price and smoke.  Cost to UPS 10
pounds (guess) to Middletown is under $6.  Do you want to send me
templates
from your boat or have him use mine from #148?  All of my small and
large
lights are the same size.

I have not done a boom crutch but have thought of doing a folding one
(upside down V) with the legs resting on either the aft ends of the
cockpit
seats or the outside sides of the aft end of the cockpit sole.  Former
would
allow better access to the poop deck but may have stability problems.
Both
would impair access to lazarette.

I to would like to hear from those who have been there (since I, for
now, am
just a would like to go there guy ).
