To answer your question no. Many Alberg owners have raised the boot stripe
so the water doesn't effect it.

is it a horrible thing if i sand my bootstripe, not completely, fill the
spots where the barnacles caused the paint to peel completely with west
epoxy(with beads for thickener) then smooth.then put on brightsides.
does this question even make since
