George,

I had them made from stainless which was a very expensive venture. The cost
of frames and a new set of chain plates as approx. $1000. These were laser
cut which provided a frames that is seamless.

I seem to recall someone having new frames fabricated, cut out of 
stainless steel plate.  The original aluminum frames are a bar which is 
formed and then welded.
