[Public-list] Jacklines

I have two 1x 19 stainless steel wire coated jacklines attached to a
strong d-shackle connected to the aft end of the stem head fitting. They
lead aft around the sides of the cabin and are connected to a horn cleat
with a lashing system. The horn cleat is through bolted to the coaming.
( I think the deck would be better and may change that this year.) I am
also looking in to going to webbing because there is less chance of
slipping on the jacklines as they roll under one's feet.

Hello All,

I am wondering where others have installed jacklines on their A30. I
understand that down the centreline of the boat would be best, but I
see a
nice space right below the windows/ports on eitherside of the cabin
that
would accomodate a line nicely without being in the way. How are the
lines
fastened to the boat?

Thanks,

Todd
