Richard;
    From my deck repairs the main problem is finding a secure place to
attach the base. I gather that Denis Furnis will be at NYC for the
Syronelle with Excaliber. He is the only boat I  know with enough
support for a second stay. It is a white oak plank that is 12 inches
wide and 1 1/2" thick  that goes from the stem head to the mast support
arch. See you there.
