Subject: [Public-list] air in fuel lines
I have tightened all clamps on fuel line fittings going to the filters and
pump. I also installed a priming bulb in line before the main filter
(racor) and can not eliminate air in the lines after running the engine for
a few minutes. When it shuts down I squeeze the priming bulb and it opens
with some force as there is suction from the pump. I have removed the line
from the carb inlet barb and activated the pump and there is plenty of
pressure. I bypassed the main filter and still the problem exists. Only
thought is my fuel pump is not putting out enough pressure or a hole in the
pickup tube.
