I know that my method seems a bit simple, but I found that it worked for  me.
 
I have the fiberglass lined box that loads through the counter top (late  
model boats).
 
I lined the inside of the box with 1 inch Styrofoam, the closed cell type  
for house insulation. It is made by several manufactures and comes in several  
colors (pink and blue) not the white that looks like the cups. I used 2 sheets  
(2ft by 8ft)
 
I found that it cuts easily with a sharp razor blade knife and does not  
absorb water.
 
I fit the bottom first then carefully fitted the sides so the were a tight  
push fit.
 
They have been in place for about 3 years and reduced the amount of ice  that 
I us by a fair amount and if you don't like it just pull it out
